My Love For My Grandmother

The saddest day of my life was on 7/27/2013 when my youngest sister called me to let me know that my grandmother past away.  A lot of things ran through my mind.  First was the last time I spoke to her which was a refreshing conversation for me because I'm 5,000 miles away and it was great just to hear her voice.  I was missing her and she was missing me, the kids and my husband.

NOW I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO TALK TO HER AGAIN:(

First let me start off by saying my grandmother was the greatest person I ever known.  Any and everybody that ever came into contact with her instantly fell in love with her.  Even though I'm her granddaughter through married she treated me no different than any of her other children.  I remember the first time I met her technically.  She said to me "Ah shocks, I remember when you use to come in here and dig in my garbage."  I was a sassy 10 year old little girl at the time and was like what me?  She said, "Yes you use to come in here and go straight for the garbage all the time." We all started laughing. You see that’s how she was.  She always made people feel comfortable in her home and around her through laughter.  That's when she explained to me that she knew me since I was 9 months. At that time my mother had an apartment on the 2nd floor in the same building.  Our relation grew and flourished from that point on.  She taught me how to crochet, cook and tried to teach me when to keep my sassy mouth shut.  I've learned so much from her and I really appreciate having her in my life.

Thank you God for allowing my grandma to live a full life and for putting her in my life at the right time.

That's all I have you today.  Thank you everyone for reading my blog.  Stay happy, natural and healthy.

Love,
